School Fees

  •
Illinois School law permits public school districts to charge students a fee for items that are directly consumed or used by students.  For example; consumable materials, supplies, rental of textbooks and etc.. By law the School Board reviews these fees annually and determines the appropriate fee for each item allowed by law. The School Board ensures these fees are fair and applied uniformly by educational level. Also, families that cannot afford to pay the school fees (see School Board policy 4: 140 Waiver of Student Fees) may apply for a waiver of fees, if they meet the income guidelines or extraordinary situation.
