Board of Education Meeting Information (BoardDocs)

Board Meeting Agendas are posted Friday afternoon prior to a Monday meeting.

District 203 has implemented an eGovernance initiative, using electronic distribution to replace the old method of compiling, printing, binding and distributing a limited number of paper Board of Education meeting documents. By making meeting agendas and supporting documents available on the internet, documents associated with Board of Education meetings can be distributed more quickly and efficiently.

Electronic distribution not only saves time and resources, but also provides easy public access to information Board members use to make decisions. By accessing BoardDocs via the link above interested persons can view the agenda (posted in advance) and associated supporting documents, as well as print the information. After the meeting, BoardDoc users can review agenda items and see what action was taken by the Board. All documents associated with the meeting are automatically archived and can be accessed by meeting date or by using the comprehensive search feature.

Because Board of Education members have more time to review information, they are able to better prepare for meetings. Under the old system, the meeting packet could not be distributed until every document had been prepared, submitted, assembled into packets and distributed to Board members. The new system allows documents to be published to the online agenda as they become available, extending access to the information by several days. Board members also have access to a vast database of best practices from other districts, to gain knowledge of initiatives that have been considered and implemented.
