    5 Essentials Survey

We would like your input and feedback!  To help guide our school improvement efforts, please consider taking the 5 Essentials Survey to provide us with your anonymous feedback. As a parent, your voice is essential to help us guide our school improvement process at JJHS. We will also administer this survey to all of our students in the near future. The purpose of this online survey is to understand parent/guardian perceptions in the areas of connectedness, satisfaction, interaction, involvement, and quality.

The Illinois 5Essentials Survey is administered online by the University of Chicago, on behalf of the Illinois State Board of Education. The state will provide survey results for individual schools only if a school has at least 20% of parents take the survey. If you have children attending more than one school, we ask that you complete the survey for each school. All survey responses will be kept confidential.

    To take this short survey:

    1. Visit Parent Survey Illinois 5Essentials.

    https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/

    1. Select “DuPage” as the County.
    2. Type the school's name into the School field and then select your school.

Thank you in advance for your participation to support our schools' continuous improvement process!

    • Building individual and family happiness habits for self-care
    • Raising the levels of happiness of yourself, family, staff and students
    • Creating a positive and adaptive mindset

The next interactive live virtual session is on Thursday, February 11th from 7:00PM to 8:00PM. Click HERE to register for the live sessions. All information regarding the series is found on our Naperville 203 website.

    Saliva- Based Surveillance Testing

If you are still interested in having your student participate in surveillance testing, please contact our front office at 630-420-4747.

Naperville 203 is pleased to announce that we are partnering with SafeGuard Surveillance, LLC to offer weekly screening tests for COVID-19 to students in grades 6-12 who are attending in-person learning and all District staff.  The goal of the program is early identification of potential COVID cases so that we can reduce transmission of the virus and quarantines due to close contacts, especially from asymptomatic individuals.  This voluntary program will provide an additional mitigation strategy to complement the others already in place.

The saliva-based test will be administered once a week and will screen for high viral loads of the COVID-19 virus. SafeGuard Surveillance, LLC will provide results to the District within 24-hours and individuals with a clinical finding will be notified of the next steps. The test does not make a diagnosis, but identifies individuals who need to seek a PCR COVID-19 test. The test is extremely accurate, with a 99.9% of clinical findings resulting in a positive COVID-19 test.

More information on our COVID-19 surveillance testing can be found on our Return to Learn website including Frequently Asked Questions.  Many of your questions can be answered by reviewing the FAQs.  If you still have additional questions, please submit via Let’s Talk under COVID-19 Surveillance Screening.

While this is not a permanent mitigation strategy and does not replace our other efforts including wearing face coverings, hand washing, and cleaning/sanitization to combat the virus, it is an exciting step to supporting our reopening in the safest way possible.  Thank you for your support and participation as we roll out the surveillance screening.

    Sincerely,

    JJHS Administration
