JJHS T203 Review

  • Communication to Families

Posted by Megan Ptak on 9/24/2019 6:00:00 PM

    Dear Patriot Families,

At Jefferson, we value our partnership with families and we understand the role that education plays in ensuring all of our students make good choices, which is why I am reaching out to you today. Recently we have had students make comments or gestures that have made others feel unsafe. We will always immediately and thoroughly investigate any claim of a student making a comment about a weapon or jeopardizing school safety in any way, and the resolution will always be in accordance with the facts.

It is our collective staff’s belief that all children deserve to feel safe and cared for. We ask for your continued partnership and support of our outstanding community to help educate our students on the importance of contributing to a positive school environment. Your student’s agenda notebook contains the entire discipline policy for your reference, and while we have already reviewed this information with our students, it appears that reinforcement from home would be beneficial. Please talk to your child and remind them that these types of comments and conversations are not jokes and will never be taken as such.

Finally, if you or your child ever has information regarding threats to the safety of our students or staff, please contact us immediately. The safety of our school community is, and will remain, our number one priority at Jefferson Junior High School.

    Sincerely,

    Megan Ptak
