As I write this May newsletter, I reflected on a quote from Batman, “You only have your thoughts and dreams ahead of you. You are someone. You mean something!” While this school year was filled with many opportunities for dreaming and growth, we stayed focused on students’ individual gifts, families and relationships. The continuous focus on students and families is what makes Steeple Run a wonderful place!
To start the month of May, Home and School during Teacher Appreciation week, will be raising awareness and funds for Special Olympics! Please find a few links below that inform about this amazing organization: (your support is appreciated)

As we close this school year and begin to plan and move forward for the 2017-2018 school year we will continue to look for the Super Hero inside each of us. Next year at the elementary level the district will be implementing the Digital Learning Initiative which will involve blended learning opportunities for our students. Our teachers will be learning and preparing for the new initiative this spring and summer as well as through next school year. Steeple Run teachers are always learning!
Mrs. Lazzara and Mrs. Hennigan will sure to be experiencing change as they find other ways to share their super powers as they approach retirement. We will miss them, but are also excited for this new adventure! While they begin a new chapter in their lives, we know they will always be part of our Steeple Run Family.
We would like to send a ‘heart felt’ thank you to Home and School, Watch DOG leadership and SFCP committee members. You are an integral part of making students and families’ experiences here at Steeple Run memorable. The talents you give every day to the school community are selfless and focus on our students and families. We appreciate all that you do and honor each and every one of you. We wish all of the Steeple Run students and families a wonderful summer!
