The Naperville Community Unit School District 203 Board of Education is charged by Illinois law and the regulations of the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) to provide and operate the 22 public schools within its geographical boundaries. It is the function of the Board to set general school policy and, within the framework of ISBE regulations, to establish guidelines that will ensure the proper administration of the District 203 program. Board of Education members are volunteers and receive no salary. The major function of the Board is to hire and evaluate the Superintendent of Schools.
Members of the community are invited and encouraged to attend public meetings of the District 203 Board of Education to observe its deliberations. Your presence gives Board members the advantage of community interest and feedback. Board sessions are also streamed live via the internet.
