Purpose of Summer Learning:
To maximize the opportunity for summer programs to advance every child’s learning, District 203 offers Summer School programs for elementary, junior high and high school students.
2021 Summer School Options
Families of students in elementary, junior high, and high school general education, EL, and ESY programs will continue to have the option of in-person or online instruction. Families will need to make their declaration as part of the registration process. Due to staffing and class size constraints, families selecting the online-only option may not be able to switch to in-person instruction after the registration deadline.
4 Week Option for Elementary and Junior High- Programs are delivered in one four week session, June 21-July 16, and meet Monday-Friday.
Additional elementary locations have been added for 2021 to address classroom occupancy and social distancing concerns. Start times have been staggered to allow parents to safely transport students to locations.

Transportation
Transportation will be available for $30 for the four week session for qualifying District 203 residents in grades K-7, $30 per semester for students enrolled in the high school program. Registration received prior to June 1, 2021 will be used to construct bus routes. Bus routes are unique to summer enrollment and may not reflect the established routes of the regular school year. Registrations that include transportation submitted after June 1, 2021 will not be considered in the development of bus routes; however students will be able to join an existing route once they are posted. If joining a bus route after June 1, it will take 3 days to add students to the bus route. If this happens after the start of summer classes, it will be the responsibility of the family to provide transportation until the bus roster is updated. This transportation is ONLY available for Summer School Session 1 arrival, which occurs between 7:30-8:30 a.m. depending on the summer school site, and at the end of Session 2, between 11:25 and 12:20 depending on the summer school site. Eligibility for transportation will follow the regular school year bussing policies found at: http://www.naperville203.org/domain/874. Students who are current walkers at Steeple Run, KJHS, Scott, MJHS, Jefferson, Naperville North, and families from NCHS less than 1.5 miles from NNHS, will not be eligible for transportation. ELL and ESY programs will continue to provide transportation at no cost. ***
