Focus 203 - Unique Programming and Services

  • At the March 2019 Focus 203, Community members learned more about the unique programming and services available to students in Naperville 203.  Jayne Willard, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction and Dr. Christine Igoe, Assistant Superintendent for Student Services led the presentation. Steering committee chair Khalid Smith set the stage for the audience and led them through the small group work activity after the presentation.

Naperville 203 offers an array of educational opportunities to meet the needs of all students. This Focus 203 highlighted five unique programming and service areas that some in our community may not be aware existed including our early childhood initiative, dual-language, gifted and academically talented, alternative learning opportunities program, and Connections.

The goal of this community engagement session was to develop an awareness of the different ways Naperville 203 supports the social-emotional, physical, cultural, and academic well-being of our students. In addition, to recognize that the District is committed to meeting the needs of all students through differentiated experiences aligned to the needs of the individual student.

The Focus 203 interactive forums foster a meaningful dialogue and generate ideas that ultimately strengthen our learning community.
