Infrastructure

    • The IT203 Infrastructure team provides technology enablement for all PK-12 classrooms, administrative areas and support facilities within Naperville 203.  Our technology enabled teaching/learning program, called ‘Digital Learning Initiative’ (DLI) has been in place since 2014.  DLI provides a 1:1 environment for all K-12 students.  K-1 student are 1:1 on Apple iPads, while students in grades 2-12 are 1:1 on Chromebooks.  Lesson plan delivery is enabled by an enterprise-wide, 24/7/365 Wi-Fi network serving all students and staff.  With an educational ecosystem centered on Google GSuite, Naperville 203 students have access to anytime/anywhere learning.

    • The span of responsibility for the IT Infrastructure team includes student/staff desk-side support services, LAN/WAN, Internet, cybersecurity, data center, storage, wireless and backup/business continuity in a high availability combination of in-house and cloud based virtual servers, storage, multi-layered data transport, systems identity management and District-wide telephone services.  In addition, IT Infrastructure also manages vendor relationships, contracts, eRate and all financial activity associated with enterprise-wide software licensing and all hardware procurement.

    • Naperville 203 was the first K-12 District in the country to have a 2 week long, end-end network security audit performed by the National CyberSecurity Assessments and Technical Services (NCATS) team of the US Department of Homeland Security. ThreatWatch 203 is the homegrown multi-platform cyberdefense and security services program used by Naperville 203 to ensure all technology enablement provided for students and staff is safe and effective. ThreatWatch 203 is the only K-12 security program to be certified for Cyber Resiliency by the US Department of Homeland Security.
