    Students will gather information about the variety of health care career choices in the health/medical fields by observing and shadowing professionals in the job setting.

    Students will shadow Edgewood therapists through bimonthly visits, and gain insight into careers that are available in the mental health field.

    Edward Hospital

    Students participating in the Health Occupations program have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various health careers. Those interested in working with new mothers can gain valuable insight into potential careers options.

    Job shadow hosts provide career –related advice while mentoring students who are exploring their college major and career interests as they observe activities and projects employees and employers do on a daily basis.

    Students will participate in weekly visits and spend time shadowing the facility’s therapists. Students will learn what a typical session with a patient looks like and potential careers available in the mental health field.
