  • Indicator IVD03:  

    The school will regularly and clearly communicate with primary caregivers about its expectations of them and the importance of the "curriculum of the home." 

    • Provide parents with informational sessions designed to support them in implementing the curriculum at home.
    • Provide resources for families to be successful in implementing the curriculum of the home.
    • Create and communicate a common understanding of homework expectations.
    Indicator IIIA07:

    All teachers will differentiate assignments (individualize instruction) in response to individual student performance on pre-tests and other methods of assessment. 

    • Provide training for staff on differentiation with specific focus on strategies for classroom implementation.
    • Increase communication with staff to help them better understand the resources within the building, both technological and professional.
    • Look at different technology options and consider ways to utilize the technology to assist with instruction and differentiation.
    Indicator IID08:
    Instructional Teams will review student learning data (academic, physical, social, emotional, behavioral) to assess and make decisions about curriculum and instructional strategies. 
    • Two to three times each year student concern teams will use a protocol to examine student achievement, plan instruction and monitor student growth.
    • Teachers will be provided ongoing professional development on the three types of assessments and how they can be used effectively to inform instruction and monitor growth.
    • Ongoing PLC facilitator training to keep teams true to the PLC philosophy through the four guiding questions.
    • Provide professional development for staff on how to access, interpret and regularly use all available student data.
    • Develop and implement a protocol for screening students for social/emotional/behavior tier 2 interventions.
    • Provide professional development for Team Leaders on facilitating SAL (student as a learner) meetings to maximize productivity.
