Social Emotional Learning Goals

Naperville North’s environment (physical, social, emotional and behavioral) is safe, welcoming, and conducive to learning

- Based on student survey data, an increase of 15% between pre and post data in the perception of safety, security and positive climate will be measured.
- Using the data collected 2017 from our student First Class surveys, Five Essentials survey and other anecdotal data points, we will review and revise our SEL support systems for emotional and behavioral health.

Summary of Research Based Action Steps- Conduct a pre and post assessment with students through Panorama surveys to measure the perceived climate of the building before and after implementation of current and/or revised support systems
- Develop a MTSS to address behavior/SEL needs of NNHS student.
- Each PLC team will select and assess a SEL standard
- Each department will be responsible for delivering content-specific EF curriculum throughout the year
- Develop EF modules
- Develop EF deliverable for each classroom
- Create assessments for EF skills
- Each classroom teacher will deliver and assess the EF modules
