The NNHS Learning Commons is a dynamic environment where a culture of collaboration, communication and creativity is fostered through thoughtful use of learning spaces and literacy growth programming. The upper Learning Commons houses print, audiobook, and videos/DVDs.  Students have access to a wide array of subscription databases, ebooks, and other online resources for their research needs available 24/7.  The Learning Commons is open from 6:45 a.m. to 4p.m. each day.

The lower Learning Commons is comprised of a flexible and comfortable open-space environment, a glass-walled collaborative classroom space, five glassed small group meeting rooms called “huddle rooms”, a student run coffee cafe called The Half Caf and our College and Career Center.  On any given day, you may see classes using the space for group projects, students and staff working and chatting while eating lunch or sharing a cup of coffee, student work being celebrated as displayed pieces or performance art or students working on building their future plans by exploring the resources offered by the College and Career Center. You may actually see all of these activities at once in this truly vibrant and dynamic environment.
