Roger Brunelle, Chief Information Officer

  • Roger joined Naperville 203 as Chief Information Officer (CIO) in 2009. As the CIO, he is responsible for the management and governance of the District’s information technology, applications and technology infrastructure. He is the leader of the District’s IT department, IT203. 
     
    Roger leads the strategic planning, direction and overall management for the District’s Information Technology.  He and his team provide the resources and solutions to allow educators, students, parents and the community to access and use applications, as well as data and insights to achieve excellence in education through effective use of technology. 
     
    What Roger enjoys most about his role at Naperville 203 are the people he works with across the District and the supportive Board of Education, superintendent, staff and community. He describes Naperville 203 as “a family with common goals.”  Roger believes that we have the unique privilege, opportunity and responsibility to positively impact our students, and help achieve our District's mission.
     
    Prior to joining Naperville 203, Roger served in senior Information Technology leadership roles at Nalco Company, ACNielsen Company and Nycomed Amersham Corp. Roger received the Nalco Chairman's Award for Leadership as well as the ACNielsen Leadership Award on multiple occasions. 
     
    Roger is a member of Illinois Chief Technology Officers Association.  He and his wife, Helena have been longstanding volunteers at their church, assisting with projects and programs as well as teaching Sunday School. They also have been involved in both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, as Den and Troop leaders, and assisting with summer camps and programs.  
     
    Roger has a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Business Administration from Augustana College and a Master of Business Administration from Loyola Graduate School of Business.  
     
    In his free time, Roger enjoys the outdoors, camping, golf, as well as playing acoustic guitar.
