Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses are essential in enhancing every student's ability to make informed decisions in their multiple roles as citizens, consumers, and professionals. An investment in CTE prepares the student for college and the workforce. CTE courses provide interactive student-centered learning in a modern state-of-the art environment with the support of experienced educators, community business partners, parents, and local universities. With over 70 courses in the CTE department, students may explore many career paths or choose a program that provides depth of study. There are three subareas of CTE—Business, Family & Consumer Sciences, and Tech. Edu. The CTE curriculum is aligned with state, national, and industry standards. One CTE credit is required for graduation.
