District Awards 2018

  • Let the Games Begin!

It was a night of celebration and school pride as staff and community volunteers gathered for the annual “District Awards.”

Every year, Naperville 203 honors its outstanding staff and community at the Those Who Excel Awards.

This year’s Proud to Be 203 award went to an outstanding individual who has set the bar high by serving Naperville 203 and the entire Naperville community for nearly 30 years, Meson Sabika owner Hussein Jamali.

The 2018 Rebecca Smith Andoh award went to a teacher who celebrates her students’ diverse backgrounds and develops culturally relevant lessons, Scott Elementary teacher Kate Boyens.

The Arlo Schilling First Year Teacher honors the former North Central College president. This year’s recipient was Prairie Elementary teacher Ally Gargano.

Those Who Excel is a state-wide program conducted by the Illinois State Board of Education. The Those Who Excel “All-Star Team” will go on to represent Naperville 203 at the statewide awards this fall.
