• Hello Huskies!

    As part of your student's transition process, we would like to offer him/her the opportunity to attend a virtual presentation provided by the Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) and WorkNet DuPage. Presentations are open to all junior and senior students with an IEP and their parents in Naperville District 203.

    DRS is the state's lead agency serving individuals with disabilities (IEP or 504 plans). DRS works in partnership with people with disabilities and their families to assist them in making informed choices to achieve full community participation through employment and education or training opportunities. Students that will benefit from services for employment or education/training may begin the application process here at the high school. The state provides various services, college/training financial contribution and employment assistance. If seeking educational assistance, students will need to provide a letter of acceptance into an approved training/trade program or college/university.     In addition, there will also be a presentation by a representative from WorkNet DuPage. WorkNet DuPage is a federally funded agency through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Youth Services at the DuPage County Workforce Development Division is the County's lead agency for youth employment programs. They provide eligible young adults ages 17 to 24 with free career and employment services to help them start a career. Programs include funding for school or training, possible scholarships up to $10,000, internships and on-the-job training.
