ASVAB 2024
ASVAB TEST DATES: OCTOBER 26th @ NNHS OR NOVEMBER 2nd @ NCHS
Information for Parents and Students:
Naperville Central and Naperville North will offer the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) Career Exploration Assessment for Junior and Senior students. Naperville Central will host on Saturday, October 28th, and Naperville North will host on Saturday, November 4th. The ASVAB is a standardized exam and will take approximately 3 hours to complete. On either date, the testing will begin at 8 a.m., and there is no charge to take it. Students may schedule to test at either location; however, registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis limited seats at each site.
The ASVAB results are used when a student enters the military, however, students do NOT need to have an interest in the military to take the assessment. The ASVAB helps students to accurately identify their strengths with the Interest Inventory Skills section. ASVAB results also give students a current snapshot of their skill levels so they may improve performance on high-stakes standardized tests.
ON TEST DAY: Students will need to report to school between 7:30 and 7:45 a.m. They should bring their Chromebook and a picture I.D. (required). Food/drinks are not permitted in the testing area. Cell phones and other electronic devices need to be powered off and put away. Testing should be completed at approximately 11:00 a.m.
