Herr Schultz received his BA in History and German from Wheaton College. He has lived in Germany, both in the north near Hamburg and in the south near Munich. 2017 was his first year at NCHS, where he also sponsors German Club.
Magistra Cunningham graduated from University of Wisconsin – Madison with a BS in Latin. She earned her MA in Educational Technology from Concordia University and has been teaching at NCHS since the fall of 2004. She is also the sponsor of Latin Club and enjoys planning various toga-themed events.
Señor Davis is a Nationally Board Certified Teacher. He received his B.A. in Spanish and Political Science from the University of South Dakota. He received his Master of Arts in Teaching from Dominican University and his Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Aurora University. He was named the Naperville District 203 “Those Who Excel” Teacher of the Year in 2008.
Señora Díaz graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana in México, City with a B.A.in Graphic and Textile Design. She received her teaching certification in Spanish from Northern Illinois University. Señora Díaz earned her M.A.in Spanish Language and Culture from Universidad de Salamanca, Spain. Since 2002, she has been a proud member of District 203. Señora Díaz is also a Spanish Club sponsor and member of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese.
Señorita Franta is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Spanish. She studied at the Universidad de Sevilla in Seville, Spain for a semester during college. She has also received her Masters of International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona. While there she did an internship in Córdoba, Argentina. Ms. Franta received her teaching certification in Spanish and Business from National Louis University. She has been at NCHS since 2007. Prior to becoming a teacher Ms. Franta worked in the business world as a marketing manager. Ms. Franta teaches Spanish 2 and Spanish 3. She also sponsors the Spanish Club.
Señor Gamboa, or as his students call him, don Ignacio, is a graduate of Rosary College with a BA in Spanish and a MA in Spanish Language and Literature from Middlebury College. He also has a MA in Educational Administration from Northeastern Illinois University. Mr. Gamboa has been part of the Naperville Central community since 2002, having taught all levels of Spanish. He sponsors NCHS’s Cibeles chapter of Spanish Honor Society, an active member of the professional organizations AATSP (American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese) and ICTFL (Illinois Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages).
Señora Gasser has been a proud Naperville Central Redhawk since August of 1994. She holds a B.A. in Spanish Secondary Education from Western Illinois University and an M.A. in Spanish from Indiana University in Bloomington. She completed study-abroad programs in Salamanca, Spain and Guanajuato, México. She is the co-coordinator of the Spanish Exchange Program with our partner school, I.E.S. Rosalía de Castro in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Sra. Gasser also has several years of experience serving as a College Board Reader of AP Spanish Language and Culture exams and she teaches Spanish levels 2 and 5.
Señora Jaime began teaching in 2014. She spent a year studying abroad at La Universidad de Barcelona while completing her B.A. in the Teaching of Spanish from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. In 2024, she completed her M.A. in Spanish Language and Culture through La Universidad de Salamanca. She taught at Naperville North for several years before joining Naperville Central.
Señor Kaisling is a graduate of the University of Illinois of Chicago in 2003. He also has received 3 different Master degrees from Concordia University. Those degrees are in Curriculum and Instruction, Differentiated Instruction, and eLearning and Technology. At Naperville Central, he is the Boys Freshmen A and Girls JV volleyball coach. Mr. Kaisling also sponsors the Magic Club.
Señor Ortiz is a graduate of Loras College (Dubuque, IA), where he earned Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. There, he also played basketball for the Duhawks for 4 years. After college, he returned to his alma mater (De La Salle Institute Chicago, IL) to begin his teaching career. Prior to working at NCHS, Mr. Ortiz also had stops at Joliet Catholic Academy and Glenbard West H.S. Mr. Ortiz has also studied at Lewis University and earned a Master’s Degree in Arts and Teaching, and later earned his administrative degree through his post-graduate studies in Educational Leadership. Mr. Ortiz currently teaches Spanish 2 and Spanish 4. He also coaches Boys’ Basketball, Soccer, and Girls’ Softball, and is currently a co-sponsor of the school’s Linguistics Club.Señora Warren received her BA in Spanish from North Central College and her MSEd in Educational Administration from Northern Illinois University. She teaches Spanish and is a native speaker who has lived in Mexico and has traveled throughout the country. She has taken students to Mexico in the past. In addition, she has mentored Latino students and accompanies them to the annual Hispanic College Fair.
Monsieur Whitt is a graduate of Ohio University in 2001 with a Bachelor's degree in French. He also received his Master's degree in French Literature in 2003, which was soon followed by a teaching degree in 2004. Monsieur Whitt is also certified to teach Spanish and various topics in the Social Sciences. Monsieur Whitt is also a French club sponsor and a J. Kyle Braid leadership foundation sponsor. Monsieur Whitt is also a Freshman Soccer and Basketball coach.
Mr. Kralovic (郭老师) received his BA in Chinese and Political Science from The Ohio State University in 2003. He also spent a semester abroad at National Taiwan Normal University in 2002. After graduation, he taught English and studied Chinese at Taipei Language Institute. In 2007, he completed the Chinese Teaching Licensure Program through The Ohio State University. From 2007-2014, he taught Chinese 1 through AP at Gahanna Lincoln High School in Gahanna, OH. After moving to Illinois, he taught Chinese at Whitney M. Young Magnet High School until 2017. He joined the staff of Naperville Central in 2017.
Ms. Cancio graduated from Illinois State University in 1997 with a BS in Education and started her career at Mental Health and Deafness teaching children who were deaf and hard of hearing. She has worked for local special education cooperatives including LADSE and SASED. She began teaching ASL in 2022 and came to district 203 in 2024.
Mrs. Woodall-Ryan graduated with a BS and MS from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in Deaf Education with a minor in American Sign Language. She started her career in Deaf Education and has taught English, World History, Government, and Economics to Deaf/Hard of Hearing populations before moving to Illinois to teach American Sign Language in 2024.
