Message from Principal, Mr. A.J. McCree
-
Welcome to an exciting year at Ann Reid Early Childhood Center.
I am very eager to work with such an incredible collection of students, families, staff and communities. I am proud to represent Naperville 203 and work to better the future of our community. I received my degree in early childhood education from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. My student teacher experiences allowed me to work with children from infants to grade three. From there I was hired to be an early childhood teacher in Joliet, IL. There I learned to love different cultures and I yearn to learn more each day. I encourage you to share yours with me and the Ann Reid Family.
I received my master’s degree in Education Leadership from Benedictine University, Lisle, IL. I first used my master’s degree as an assistant principal in an elementary school before beginning to serve as principal of an early childhood program in 2012. There we provided a high quality early learning program that won multiple Gold Circles of Quality. Our community is blessed to have the Ann Reid Early Childhood Center serving it, and I am honored to be its principal.I strive to learn and improve with each school year, and I am excited to continue my passion in early childhood and working with the future of the district. Ann Reid’s high academic expectations and intrinsic will to build a partnership with families coincide with my educational creed. Feel free to contact me or Ann Reid’s office to arrange a tour of the building and to hear about the variety of opportunities we offer children and their families. Thank you for considering us as part of your child's journey. We look forward to meeting you.
Sincerely,
Mr. A.J. McCree
