Principal's Message

Dear Elmwood Families and Community,

It is a great honor and privilege for me to be the principal at  Elmwood Elementary School. Elmwood is truly an extraordinary school community where student needs always come first.  Our vision at Elmwood is to cultivate and sustain an equitable and rigorous learning community which nurtures critical thinkers where all are valued and celebrated. 

This school year, our main goal is to provide students with intentional instruction in an equitable learning community.    In order to educate all Elmwood Eagles to achieve the District Mission statement, I will work closely with you, our staff, and of course our students. I believe that effective and open communication between home and school is crucial to building the success of the school community. 

Entering the 2022-2023 school year, one of our most essential priorities is supporting the physical and emotional wellness of students and staff.  In order to accelerate learning, students need to feel safe, valued and respected.  We will be doing everything in our power to maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment for all students. There are a number of challenges on our horizon, but I am confident that our school community is ready and able to provide the necessary support. 

We will continue to send our weekly Elmwood newsletter every Friday afternoon to keep you informed on upcoming events and learning topics.
