School Family Community Partnership (SFCP)

  • School Family Community Partnership (SFCP) is a partnership of Elmwood School, Elmwood families, Community members and local Business Partners. The Elmwood School SFCP team is also a part of our District 203 SFCP team. This partnership is based on a belief that when parents, teachers, students and community members work as partners, our students succeed in school and later in life as well. SFCP sponsors activities and events that support this belief.

The SFCP team has sponsored events at Elmwood like "White Elephant" Bingo, Dad's Breakfast, walking and family fitness programs, International Walk to School Day, and new student and family tours. Our Holiday SFCP team coordinates our Candy Cane Caring program which assists families in need during the holiday season and throughout the school year.  They introduced a new program called "It Just Makes Cents", which is a contest between classes allowing students to participate and have fun helping out families in our Elmwood community at the same time.

Volunteers are always welcome and very much wanted for all of these local and fun community events.  Without assistance from our volunteers events like these would not be possible throughout the year.  This committee works closely with the principal as well as the Home and School President.
