Assistant Principal's Message

Dear Elmwood Families!

Welcome to another exciting school year! I am thrilled to be part of the Elmwood team and to have the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated and passionate community. With years of experience in education as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, interventionist, and assistant principal, I bring a deep commitment to fostering a love of learning in our students and teachers.

Watching students unlock their problem-solving skills and develop a genuine love for learning is what inspired me into the world of education and continues to energize me every day. My goal is to ensure every decision made at Elmwood is in the best interest of our students, helping them to reach their fullest potential.

Our vision at Elmwood is to cultivate and sustain an equitable and rigorous learning community which nurtures critical thinkers where all are valued and celebrated. This vision is at the heart of everything we do, guiding our efforts to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all. We are glad you are here, and we want you to know: You Belong!

As a mother of three and a military spouse, I understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with navigating the educational needs of children from elementary school through college. Balancing my professional responsibilities with the demands of raising three children has given me a firsthand appreciation for the diverse experiences and concerns that our families face. Whether it's dealing with transitions, supporting academic growth, or addressing social and emotional needs, I am deeply committed to providing the support and understanding our families need. I will continue to use this unique perspective to build strong, supportive relationships within our community and advocate effectively for our students and their families.
