Welcome to the Ellsworth Learning Commons (LC)!
The Learning Commons is a responsive and interactive learning environment at the heart of the school. Students drive the learning experience through engaging in opportunities for Inquiry and Research, Innovation and Creation, Communication and Collaboration, and activities that promote lifelong Growth in Literacy. Learning experiences promote critical thinking, self-directed learning, pursuit of individual student interests, and students’ need for exploration. The Learning Commons supports a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility to achieve School Improvement Goals among Students, school Staff, parents, and community.
All students have LC once a week. Students in kindergarten through third grade are in LC for fifty minutes a week. Fourth and fifth grade students have it for one hour.
