  • What if my child does not eat all his/her lunch?

    Posted by:

All food not eaten in the lunch period needs to be disposed in the trash cans in the lunch room. Your student does have a quiet time where there is no talking so they are not distracted from eating.

Students should be at school by 8:10am and in class by 8:15am. Students arriving after 8:15 are considered tardy and must sign in through the office. The school day ends at 2:30pm. Students needing to leave school before the end of the day must be signed out through the office by a parent or adult on their contact list.

  • What time can students arrive in the morning?

    Posted by:
Students should not arrive on school grounds before 8 am as there is no adult supervision. Upon arrival, all students, both primary and intermediate, are to enter our building through Door 1 and proceed to their classrooms.  Instruction begins at 8:15am, so please have your students enter the building prior to 8:10am. This allows them time to visit a minute or two with friends, put their backpack and coats away, select their lunch choice and be in the classroom for the pledges and announcements at 8:15am.  When students come in right at 8:15am or even after the bell, they miss out on this time to adjust their mindset to that of learning.  Announcements start right at 8:15am with attendance and instruction immediately following.

  • How do I report a change in after school plans?

    Posted by:

To report a change in after school plans for your student, either for the day or permanently, notify Ellsworth of the change in writing by sending an email to EllsworthGeneral@naperville203.org AND the teacher or a handwritten note stating the change and providing specific instructions about how to dismiss the student. If plans change mid-day, communication must be received by the office by 1:30pm.

Students will not be dismissed, released or otherwise sent away from school different from established routines without proper notification.  This is particularly true for students riding the bus.
