I was born right here in Naperville and attended District 204 schools growing up. I graduated from the University of Kentucky and I am a die-hard Wildcats fan! This is my 9th year teaching here at River Woods and my 13th year teaching overall. I enjoy helping kids find a love for learning and challenging them to be the best versions of themselves. When I am not teaching I enjoy reading, running, participating in sports, watching movies and spending time with my wife and three children!

This is my 11th year teaching in Naperville.  I was one of the original 5th grade Dual Language teachers when the first group of students in Dual Language reached this grade level.  I continue to enjoy developing lessons for my students and seeing them grow as learners.  When I am not teaching, I enjoy growing fruit trees, reading, and spending time with my wife and two daughters.

Neighboring Wheaton is my hometown.  After earning my bachelor’s degree, I got a master’s degree in Reading, and another in Leadership and Administration.  In my 32-year career, I’ve taught Kindergarten, first grade, K-1 Multiage, second grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, and 4-5 Multiage, in both urban and suburban districts.  Every year has been a new adventure, which is why I find teaching so exciting.  I am a self-professed bibliophile and yogi.
