I love teaching first grade and I am very excited to start the new school year! This will be my fifth year teaching at River Woods. I live in Chicago with my family and two dogs. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading, playing board games, and spending time outside with family and friends. 

The ‘23-’24 school year will be my 20th year in District 203!  I started teaching in 2003 at Maplebrook Elementary where I taught multiple grade levels before coming to River Woods as the Instructional Coach.  This year I am so excited to be teaching first grade again!  I work hard each day to create equitable learning experiences that make teaching and learning engaging and impactful for all.  Outside of school I am the mom of two wonderful children who are growing up way too fast!  My husband and I love spending our days cheering them on at their many sports/activities and our nights playing board games and watching movies.

This is my 11th year teaching at River Woods.  I love teaching first grade in two languages.  I get very excited when my students feel good about themselves as learners and as wonderful human beings.  What brings me joy outside of the classroom is exploring nature, traveling, self care activities and spending time with my family and friends.

This is my ninth year teaching at River Woods. I love being a teacher and feel blessed to be working with the wonderful children and families that are a part of the River Woods community. When I am not teaching, I enjoy walking, reading, playing with my dog Harper, and spending time with my family traveling and exploring nature.
