This is my first year at River Woods and I am very excited to be a red bird! I grew up in Naperville and attended District 203 schools as a student. I graduated from North Central college in 2021 and taught 1st grade bilingual last school year in Plainfield. I love teaching and learning new languages. I love to travel and have been to Costa Rica and Italy. 

This will be my 10th year teaching at River Woods and my 14th year of teaching overall.  I taught fourth grade for five years before moving to second grade.  I grew up in Naperville and went to school in District 204.  As a teacher, I love seeing the “lightbulb” moments when students understand a new concept!  I also love creating our classroom community each year.  When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading, working out, and spending time with my daughter and my husband.

This is my fourth year teaching 2nd grade at River Woods. I have been married to my husband, Aaron, for 20 years and we have two sons that also attend school in District 203. I am excited to get back in the classroom to form relationships with my students and watch their brains grow. When I'm not teaching, I am happily driving or watching my boys in whatever extra curricular activity is happening, reading, playing board games with my family, or having random dance parties in our kitchen!

This is my 11th year teaching at River Woods. I grew up in Naperville, and after attending District 203 as a student I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa and my master's degree from National Louis as a reading specialist. I love helping my students continue to grow as readers, writers, and mathematicians! In my free time, I love to go for walks with my dog, Beau, listen to country music, and spend time with my family and friends!
