This will be my 2nd year teaching at River Woods as the Fourth Grade Dual-Language teacher. I graduated from Aurora University with my Bachelors in Elementary Education. I’ve completed my first year of teaching this past year and I’m excited for the new school year. I love teaching in two languages! I enjoy playing soccer, traveling, hiking, photography, and spending time with my family and friends. I look forward to my second year at River Woods!

Mr. Carius

I was born right here in Naperville and attended District 204 schools growing up. I graduated from the University of Kentucky and I am a die-hard Wildcats fan! This is my 9th year teaching here at River Woods and my 13th year teaching overall. I enjoy helping kids find a love for learning and challenging them to be the best versions of themselves. When I am not teaching I enjoy reading, running, participating in sports, watching movies and spending time with my wife and three children!

Mrs. Wehrli

I am happy to be starting my 12th year as a 4th-grade teacher at River Woods! Each school year has brought me great joy as I have appreciated getting to know so many wonderful families and working with terrific 9 and 10-year olds. On a personal note, my husband and I will be sending our younger son off to college at Montana State University for his sophomore year. He loved it last year and is looking forward to the adventure that awaits. We’ve enjoyed a few months together during the summer as a family of four as our older son moved back to Naperville after several years in Alabama. As a family, we have enjoyed many adventures out west hiking mountains, exploring caves, and taking road-trips to National Parks. Favorite parks we’ve visited include Glacier, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Grand Canyon, Badlands, and Wind Cave. We love living in Naperville and are blessed to have so many family members living locally, including six other Wehrlis living right across the street!
