• Using D203 Website Calendars

The calendars on the new school websites are customizable and very user-friendly.  As you'll notice, events are color coded to reflect different categories like Athletics, Performances, Student Services and Testing as well as official district calendar items like conferences, institute days and vacations.  Below are some tips for taking advantage of what the calendar has to offer as well as a direct access to Washington's calendar.  Happy customizing!

    Customizing Your Calendar View

Have students in more than one building?  Only concerned about certain types of events? You can merge multiple calendars across all the D203 sites into this individual calendar so that you can see the events pertinent to you in the different schools your children attend.

You can do this by dropping down the arrow in front of "Customize Calendar View" to choose the different calendars you'd like to merge with only the categories you want to see.

    1. Calendar: Press the Pencil Icon

Press the Add/Remove Button and find all of the calendars you want to bring into the current calendar you are viewing.

    2. Categories: Press the Pencil Icon

Press the Add/Remove Button and limit the event categories to only the ones you are interested in.

The cookies for the settings you choose will be saved so that when you return next time to this calendar, it will remember the settings you chose.

    Feeding Your Calendars

This works with Google, Yahoo, iCal, Outlook and more!

Export button This Export button will export all of the events you have chosen to view into a file that you can then import into your own personal calendar.

Please note that if you choose this option, if any events change in date or time, you will not get that automatically updated and you would need to do another export and import.

iCal button This iCal feed button will pull all of the events into your personal calendar using an RSS feed. This allows your calendar to continue to keep the most current changes to any event in your calendar as well. This is a great way to stay updated with all the WJHS events.
