Welcome to the Home Page of the 2024-2025 Math Team of Kennedy!

Our head coach is Haihui Niu, the best math competition coach in the state of Illinois. Arthur Xu and Ryan Kong, two high school students, are also the coaches of the team. Our teaching assistants include Chloe Ma, Jayden Yang, Ethan Zhang, Willson Zhu, all of whom are past mathcounts winners and AIME qualifiers.

For the fall semester of 2024, we plan to meet on these Wednesday mornings between 7:00 am and 7:50 am in LC: 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 11/20, 12/11, 12/18, a total of 10 times. All these events are open to everyone who loves math.

Update on 12/12/2024: We have had two exams on 10/9/2024 and 12/11/2024, and based on the scores, the top 22 students have been picked to form our math team. Congratulations to those who made it.

Update on 1/10/2025: For the rest of the school year, we'll meet on every Wednesday mornings from 1/15/2025 to 3/5/2025 at 7:00 am to 7:50 am in LC , a total of 8 times, while the math team will meet on every Thursday afternoon at 3:15 pm to 5:15 pm.

Update on 1/15/2025: The AMC 8 is a math contest organized by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). It is a 25-question, 40-minute multiple-choice examination designed to promote the development of problem-solving skills. Kennedy will host AMC 8 on 1/23/2025 at 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm in LC. Students who have successfully registered have already been notified by email.

Update on 2/25/2025: Kennedy's math team won first place in Mathcounts DuKane Chapter competition, which had 16 middle schools participating. Congratulations to everyone on the math team! We'll go to the state final and compete on 3/8/2025.

Update on 3/8/2025: Kennedy's math team won second place in Mathcounts Illinois State competition, and William Wu won individual First Place. Congratulations to the whole team and William!
