Home and School Overview

  • Welcome to Elmwood Home & School!
    We are a parent-run, volunteer organization that works with our teachers and school staff to support the learning environment at Elmwood.  Our Home & School hosts several programs and fundraisers throughout the school year to not only provide more for your student but also a social outlet to get to know other Elmwood families.  The funds raised support the H&S annual budget and fund your student directly with programs that are offered each year.

    Who is a member of H&S?
    We All Are! As parents of an Elmwood student, we are all invited to attend H&S meetings and volunteer for committees. Even if you work full-time or have little ones at home, we have something for everyone. Let us know your availability and we’ll help find something that works for you!
     
    When are Home & School Meetings?

    We have a limited amount of meetings because…LIFE IS BUSY WITH YOUNG KIDS!  However, our meetings are jam packed with GREAT information about life at Elmwood.  We also provide day & night meetings to help accommodate all schedules.

     

    What are Elmwood Home & School Fundraisers?

    Elmwood H&S helps fund a variety of programs and activities that are only made possible through our fundraising events. Some items Elmwood H&S funds are: Field Trips, Assemblies, Parties, Birthday Books, Staff Appreciation, School/Teacher Budgets, 5th Grade Celebrations, and more!

    Elmwood H&S volunteers coordinate and organize several fundraising events including:

    • Dave Cleveland Fun Run
    • Dine-outs
    • Carnival/Spirit Bash
    • Social Events
    • Book Fair

    How can I volunteer for a committee with Elmwood Home & School?

    Details about classroom volunteers are shared at the beginning of the school year.  Open Committees positions and various volunteer opportunities are needed all year long for a variety of activities.

    Home & School Committee Information
    Our weekly school newsletter is our tool to communicate with YOU!  If you have information to share from your committee or about an upcoming Elmwood event, we ask that you share your message via the link below. Your message will be reviewed by both Mr. Langes as well as the Home & School Board before it is added to our weekly communication.  See the link below to submit your request.
