Rebecca Caudill Young Readers' Book Award

The Rebecca Caudill Young Readers’ Book Award (or RCYBA) is unique in that the "best" book is selected by vote of children in Illinois who are in grades 4-8. Twenty books are nominated each year and children must read at least 3 of the books to be eligible to vote. We encourage students to read as many of these books as they can to make a better-informed vote. The vote is taken towards the end of February and the results are announced in mid-March.
