Looking for a New Chair for Great Books!

We are looking for a parent volunteer to chair Great Books, a wonderful weekly book club for 2nd and 3rd Grade students that will be held once a week in January and February next year.

4th Grade Lyric Opera Field Trip:

When: Tuesday, October 17, 2017, 11:20AM-1:30PM

Where: North Central College, Pfeiffer Hall

The 4th Grade classes will be attending the Lyric Opera’s production of “The Scorpions Sting.”

 

Home & School Meeting:

When: Tuesday, October 17, 2017, 7:00PM

Where: Scott School, LC

Box Tops for Education Contest:

When: Friday, October 20, 2017

Where: Scott School

This is the last week for our Fall Box Tops for Education contest!  Please double check all Box Tops to make sure they have not expired and submit them by this Friday, October 20, 2017

  •  The top collecting class will win an extra recess!
  • The top three collecting students will win a gift card from Target!
  • The top collecting student in each class will win a gift certificate for the school store!

Box Tops received after October 20th will be counted in our spring contest. For questions, please contact Samantha Quinn

5th Grade Music Program:

When: Thursday, October 26, 2017

Where: Scott School, Gym

The Scott School 5th Grade music program "Honoring Our Soldiers" is Thursday October 26th! 5th Graders should wear red, white, and/or blue to school for our morning school performance at 8:30 AM and again for our 7:00 PM family performance! 5th Graders should please arrive no later than 6:45 PM for our family show.

We can't wait to share this multi-media performance with you!

Red Ribbon Week:

When: Friday, October 20, 2017 – Friday, October 27, 2017

Where: Scott School

Next week is Red Ribbon Week!  Flyers will be coming home this week with information about the daily themed activities, kicking off with Healthy Choice Artwork due this Friday, October 20, 2017!  Students who submit artwork, have a chance to win a RRW goody bag!  2 winners are chosen at random every day!  Scott School Chooses Healthy!

Dinner Night Out:

When: Monday, October 30, 2017

Where: The Patio, 151 S. Weber Road, Bolingbrook, IL

Come out and enjoy “Dinner and a Concert” at The Patio in Bolingbrook.   Enjoy wonderful barbeque while listening to the sounds of our very own Scott School band!  They will be performing at 5:30PM. If you can’t make it for dinner, feel free to use your flyer any time from 11:00-7:00 on that day.  Please remember to bring the yellow flyer that will be sent home prior to the event.

SFCP Food Drive for Loaves & Fishes:

When: Monday, October 23, 2017 – Friday, November 3, 2017

Where: Scott School, Lobby, 8:00AM – 8:30AM

Don’t forget the SFCP will be holding our “Thanks & Giving” food drive in the lobby from Monday, October 23, 2017 to Friday, November 3, 2017.   In an effort to support our community we will be collecting non-perishable food donations from the students to benefit our local food pantry, Loaves & Fishes.  In addition to food items, the pantry also has a need for paper products, cleaning products, birthday items (candles, party hats, etc.)   Let’s show Naperville that Scott cares!

Movie Night:

When: Friday, November 3, 2017, 6:15PM

Where: Scott School, Gym

Tra-la-laaa!!!  Please join us for our Scott School’s family movie night - we are so excited to present Captain Underpants!  ENTRY TO THE MOVIE IS FREE! The gym will open at 5:45PM and the movie starts at 6:15PM!   Feel free to bring a blanket to sit on to eat your picnic dinner on and watch the movie.

Pizza will be available for pre-order only.  Order forms are coming home this week.  Completed order forms and payment are due on Thursday, October 26th.    No orders will be taken after that time.  You may purchase bottled water and other snacks during the movie night (cash only).
