  • How do I report student absences?

    Please call the absentee line at (630) 420-3203 prior to 7:45 AM and include date, student's name, teacher's name and reason.

  • What time can students arrive in the morning?

    We ask that students do not arrive before 8:00am as there is no adult supervision.

  • What do I do if my child is late?

    If you child will be arriving late, please call the Health/Attendance office at 630-420-3200 by 7:45 a.m.  When you bring your child to school, you must come in to school and sign your child in at the office.  If you will be picking your child up early, please follow the same directions as late arrival.  In addition, please send a note to the teacher so that she/he can make sure your child will be prepared when you arrive.

  • What if I am taking my child out of school for an appointment during the school day?

    Notify the Health Office and teacher of any pre-planned absences (appointments, vacations, funerals). You can do this by calling 630-420-3203 or sending a written note to both the teacher and the health tech.

    Come to the office and sign your student out, we will then call the classroom and your child will be sent down to the office.

  • What if I need to get a message to my child during the school day?

    It is important to limit classroom interruptions. If the message is an emergency, the office staff will direct it appropriately, otherwise, call the MG Office and a note will be delivered to your child’s classroom at the end of the day.

  • What is the procedure if I need to bring in items that my child has left at home?

    Bring the item directly to the school office, marked clearly with the student's name and teacher.
    If you bring an item in, we will get a message to the teacher and your child will be sent to pick it up. If it is still not claimed by the end of the day, the item will be delivered to your child at the end of the day.

  • What is the best way to reach my child's teacher if I have questions?

    A phone call to school, E-mail or backpack note. Please always check with your teacher at the beginning of the school year as to which method of communication they prefer.

  • Can I bring treats for my child's birthday?

    Posted by:

    No food may be sent to school in honor of birthday celebrations .

    The child can be honored in a variety of ways, other than with the sharing of edible treats.   Recommended "treats" include: stickers, pencils, donation for an LRC book in your child's name. Please contact classroom teacher with your intent prior to sending treats.

  • When do students have indoor and outdoor recess?

    Students will go outside for recess if the wind chill is above 0 degrees Fahrenheit and if it is not raining.

    Your child can order lunch or will receive the “Fun on the Run” option from Aramark, our lunch provider.

  • When is the last day of school and times of dismissal for the school year?

    Please click on the district calendar for the last day of school.  
    The last day of school is a full day, so dismissal time is 2:30pm for all grades.

  • How do I become a volunteer?
