Hello Meadow Glens Families,
Happy New Year everyone, hope you all enjoyed break. Home and School is back and in full swing planning some upcoming events.
Please stop by our table next week at Open House. We will be handing out information about our upcoming Adult Social "Luck of the Eagles." March 10th will be our big school fundraiser; it will be a fun Adults only trivia night! We are looking for parents to join in the fun as we plan this event; it's a great time to get involved! Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested! Funds raised from this event will go directly towards new programs and our new "makers space," for our students. If you can't get involved or attend we do appreciate your contribution towards our efforts!
Also, next week at Open House our Hospitality Chairs do a great job at organizing a refreshment lounge in the MPR room, make sure to stop by! If you are able to donate or contribute please contact them at email@example.com. We look forward to our next "Foodraiser" event next week as well at MOD pizza (downtown location) Monday, January 30th. More information regarding this Foodraiser is included below. Our Great Books program started last week for our 2nd-5th graders, so hopefully your children have enjoyed their first lunch meeting! We will be launching our reading incentive program as well soon. We partner with Great America and each participant will earn a FREE ticket to the park. More information regarding this program is included below. Another Home and School event next month we will have Book Fair which will be set up in the Learning Commons again like in the fall. Information will come home soon regarding this event.
You know we like a good party! For Valentine's Day Room parents will be planning the last classroom party for the year. There will be a school picnic at the end of the year!
Yearbook is in need of some candid pictures you might have of your child at school. Please send this to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please join us to hear about all our upcoming events and join in on some of the fun as we plan more! Our next H & S meeting is Tuesday, February 7th at 7:00 pm at school. If you have any questions or would like more information, please email me at email@example.com.
Thanks for your continued support!
Kate Uhler, President of Home and School
Like PTA groups around the country, Naperville District 203's Home and School Association promotes cooperation and communication between school and home for the maximum benefit of students. Our newsletter, Meadow Glens Messenger, informs you of the many activities and programs you can be involved in throughout the year. All parents, teachers and staff are automatically considered members of our association.
You are always welcome to attend our meetings, usually held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the Learning Resource Center (LRC). The dates are posted in the parent/student handbook and theCalendar of Events. Your interest and support is invaluable. We encourage your involvement.
