MJHS Announcements for the Week of October 21st - Ocotober 25th

Tuesday, October 22nd

The Socktober competition starts on Monday, October 28th and it will go until Friday, November 4th. Our Socktober competition is focused on collecting sock donations for Hesed House, a local organization that is working to end homelessness. We have learned that the most needed item at homeless shelters is socks. Can you imagine going all winter long without being able to reach for a warm pair of socks? To help support the cause and to keep people’s feet warm all winter all you need to do is donate new or gently used socks. Place your donations in the bin of whichever grade level you want to support in the competition. There is also a teacher bin if you want to help the teacher team win! Bins will be located by the front office. Help those struggling this fall and donate as many socks as you can next week! Here’s a joke that will knock your socks off: What did the hat say to the sock… I’ll go on ahead, you go on foot.

Veteran’s Day

Warhawks, do you have a special Veteran you would like to invite to our assembly on November 11th?  Ask your teachers for a sign-up sheet or visit the front office to pick one up!  Attached is the Veteran's Day sign up form.
