    Dear Maplebrook Families,

We’re excited and continue to get our school ready for our Wildcats to return to school. Our custodial staff is doing an amazing job to make sure that our building is ready to welcome our EC-5 Wildcats back into the building August 17 (K-5) and August 18 (Early Childhood).

I hope you and your family continue to enjoy the warm weather and have some fun. If you are like me you have already marked your calendar and have begun the countdown to school. I for one can't wait !

Congratulations to Mrs. Stanford whose son Micah James was born in July. We are so happy for Mr. and Mrs. Stanford and are wishing them nothing but joy in the days ahead.

If you have other questions, please check the Maplebrook website, as it is frequently updated and will likely have the answers you seek. You may also contact our main office at 630-420-6381 between the hours of 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. until school resumes.

Thank you for your collaboration and support.

    Sincerely,

    Araceli Ordaz

Kindergarten Teddy Bear Meet and Greet @ 3pm, Thursday, August 11

Attention all incoming Kindergarteners! There will be a Kindergarten Teddy Bear Meet and Greet on August 11th from 3:00-4:00 p.m. outside of Maplebrook Elementary in the field next to the playground. Kindergarteners will be able to sit with their classmates and get to know one another. Kindergarteners are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed animal, a snack, and a blanket to sit on. This will help our incoming students to be more comfortable in this new environment as well as have something to show off and talk about with their new classmates.

There will be activities available for the students to take part in. Parents will be able to purchase and/or order Maplebrook shirts for their soon to be Wildcats at the event as well.

Prior to the event be sure to check your student’s teacher assignment so your student knows what class to sit with at the Kick-Off event. Teacher assignments will go live on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal on August 10th at 3:00 p.m.

Following there will be Popsicles with the Principal from 4:00-5:00 p.m. on the blacktop and we encourage the students and families to stay and participate in meeting some of the Maplebrook staff as well as other Wildcat Families.
