    LC Philosophy

The Naperville District #203 K-12 Library Media Program is an integral part of the education process. Our mission is to provide excellent resources, programs and services to our educational community in order to graduate students who are effective users of ideas and information in their pursuit of lifelong learning.

    LC Policies and Procedures

    Checking Out Books
Each week, students in grades one through four may check out two books.  Kindergarten students may check out one book at a time. Students are encouraged to bring in their books on their LC day (see schedule here), however they may return them whenever they have finished reading them, so that other students may check them out.
    Lost/Damaged Books
Students who lose or damage library materials will be expected to pay for the cost of replacing the item.  If a lost item has been found and in good condition within the current school year, a refund will be issued.
    Overdue Items
All materials for grades one through 4 are checked out for 2 weeks at a time ; all materials for Kindergarten are checked out for 1 week at a time.  If a book is not returned or renewed by the due date, no new item can be taken at that time.
