Business students win big on INCubator Pitch Night
Student business teams from Naperville Central and Naperville North pitched their entrepreneurial ideas during Business INCubator Pitch Night on Wednesday, May 11.
The event was hosted by the Naperville Education Foundation, Naperville 203’s philanthropic fundraising arm that encourages creativity, innovation, and excellence in students by helping to ensure that every student in the district can take advantage of opportunities to make the most of their education.
The first-place team won $3,000, with the second-place team taking home $2,000 and the third-place team winning $1,000. See below for more information on the winning teams.
First Place: Scent Snacks (Naperville Central) Creators of a quick, easy, and reusable deodorizer for athletic equipment.
Student Team Members: Jacob Ang, Marcus Park, Aryan Patel and Arnav Rammesh. Mentor: Helen Lee
Second Place: Gard-In Home (Naperville North) Gardening company providing design, installation, and maintenance for home gardeners; servicing clients with a personally tailored gardening experience.
Student Team Members: Aiyanna Clemens, Joe Hinsberger, Nick Holland and Thomas LaVelle.
Mentors: Will Kreuzer & Mike Bender
Third Place: TeenForce (Naperville North) An online marketplace business, servicing small businesses who are looking for teenage employees; and teenagers looking for employment. Student Team Members: Ella Carter, Tori LaPointe, Jenna Norris and Lei Tevaga Mentor: Molly Moroni
