Xagas Named Assistant Superintendent of Student Services

At the May 3, 2021 meeting, the Naperville Community Unit School District 203 Board of Education approved Mrs. Lisa Xagas as Assistant Superintendent of Student Services.  Mrs. Xagas will replace Dr. Christine Igoe who has accepted a position outside of the District.

Mrs. Xagas has served as the Director of Student Services in Naperville 203 since 2014. In this role, she has advocated for ensuring the District collaborates with school teams, parents, and students to provide the free and appropriate public education that every student deserves through a focus on increasing growth and achievement for students with disabilities. Over the past seven years, she has coached and mentored educators to help close achievement gaps and to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

“Lisa is a leader committed to increasing capacity, within herself and within others, in order to move the District forward,” said Superintendent Dan Bridges.  “She has been an integral part of the development and implementation of our district-wide social-emotional learning plan, including partnering with members of our Learning Services team, parents, and the community to provide support for students.”

Prior to her current position, Mrs. Xagas was Dean of Students at Naperville Central High School, Assistant Director of Student Services, and a Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS) at Naperville Central.

“It is an honor and a privilege for me to assume the position of Assistant Superintendent of Student Services,” said Lisa Xagas.  “I have dedicated my career to Naperville 203 and greatly look forward to the opportunity to continue to serve the students, families and staff of the District.”
