Amanda McMillen Sworn in as Naperville 203 Board of Education Member


The Naperville Community Unit School District 203 Board of Education is pleased to welcome Amanda McMillen to the Board.  Ms. McMillen was elected in April 2021 and assumed her seat on the Board of Education on May 3, 2021.  In the April 2021 elections, Charles Cush, Kristin Fitzgerald, and Donna Wandke were also reelected to the Board of Education.

For the past twenty years, Ms. McMillen has served in nonprofit management in the area of children, youth, and family services.  She has a proven record of program development, strategic planning, and organizational enhancement. Currently, Ms. McMillen serves as the Chief Program Officer at Illinois Collaboration on Youth (ICOY), leading a team to strengthen the capacity of services throughout the state by enhancing evidence-based and emerging practices including trauma-­informed care, race equity, and violence prevention training and technical assistance.

Ms. McMillen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2007.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bluffton University and a Master of Social Science Administration from Case Western Reserve University.  Ms. McMillen has three children that attend Naperville 203 schools including Kingsley Elementary School and Lincoln Junior High School.
