Kimberly Fricke Named Principal of Jefferson Junior High School

Naperville, IL – After serving as interim principal for the 2020-2021 school year, Ms. Kimberly Fricke was appointed at the March 1, 2021 Board of Education as principal starting the 2021-2022 school year.  

“Ms. Fricke is a visionary school leader committed to building a school culture committed to ensuring each student has what he or she needs to be successful,” said Superintendent Dan Bridges.  “During her tenure at Jefferson, we have seen the community flourish under her leadership.”

Ms. Fricke has spent eight years in Naperville 203 in a variety of positions including teaching eighth grade science at Washington Junior High and teaching Chemistry at Naperville North High School.  She served as Assistant Principal at Lincoln Junior High School for three years prior to moving to Jefferson Junior High School for the 2020-2021 school year.  Ms. Fricke has also served as the Director of Junior High Summer Learning for the past two year.  

“I am committed to fostering a school culture that is founded on collaborative, supportive relationships and creating equitable places of learning for all students.” said Ms. Fricke.  “It has been an honor to serve as Interim Principal and I look forward to continuing to lead this community.”

Ms. Fricke has an undergraduate degree from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Chemistry Education and Gender and Women’s Studies.  She received her Master’s in Educational Leadership from North Central College and is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Aurora University.
