Highlights from the October 7, 2019 Board of Education meeting include:
Principal Lisa Polomsky presented Elmwood Elementary School Improvement Plan to the Board of Education. The plan outlined how Elmwood directs resources to meet the needs of all students through ELA, math and SEL goals.
Assistant Superintendent for Assessment & Accountability Patrick Nolten and Chief Financial Officer Michael Frances presented to the Board of Education the 2020 School Report Card update. The goal of the presentation is to understand the current status of Illinois Report Card; clarify metrics associated with Designation Status; describe process of transforming metrics into specific Summative Designation Statuses; and summarize concepts, intention and financial/fiscal reporting as presented in upcoming Illinois Report Card.
Dr. Christine Igoe, Assistant Superintendent of Student Services, presented a suicide prevention program review that summarized key findings in the research; understanding the recommendations from the program evaluation; and describe action steps taken by the District to align with the recommendations.
The BOE discussed without action IASB Resolutions, IASB delegate, and resolution to regulate expense reimbursements.
