Lincoln Junior High School knows how to kick-off a school year right! On the second day of school, LJHS hosted a PRIDE Assembly to welcome students back to school.
The goal of the PRIDE Assembly was demonstrate to students that they are part of a larger LJHS family including their peers, former students, staff and the community. Students viewed a video of LJHS alum who successfully made it through junior high and their reflections on what came next.
Students also learned about the character education program - Lancer Pride that helps them exhibit the essential characteristics for Lancers including leadership, action, nobility, compassion, excellence and resilience!
Each department used music as their inspiration to introduce their teams and share advice including:
“Lancers are EPIC - Empathetic, Persistent, Industrious, Creative”
“Lancers are helpful, do their best, and treat others well!”
“Lancers strive to improve themselves and their surroundings in all they do.”
“Lancers have… open minds, caring hearts, exploratory souls.”
“Lancers use their imagination and curiosity to create, build, and grow.”
“Lancers don’t stop… learning, growing, trying, supporting each other and believing!!”
