With the first day of school only a week away, Naperville District 203 is diligently working to get their new educators prepared for the upcoming school year.
This year’s New Educator Summer Professional Learning kickoff was a two-day workshop for all new teachers to the District. The mission for this event is to get the new educators acclimated with the district’s goals and objectives.
In addition to aiding educational purposes at this orientation, it also allows the new educators get acquainted with their coworkers, principals and human resources. It is important for Naperville District 203 to create a sense of community and positive relationships that support student learning and belongingness.
Naperville District 203 believes in a constant system of support for all new educators. Professional learning is provided in multiple settings and structures to prepare each educator for success with an ultimate goal of increasing student learning. The new educators were able to receive support from well-trained mentors who coach new educators on the best practices and current standards that align with the district goals and mission. It is important that our new educators are able to receive the best instructional strategies to use in the classroom.
It was a great experience for all involved in the orientation, and we thank all of our mentors for providing valuable information for our newest educators! We are so excited to welcome all of you and are eager for the new school year!
