Board Briefs April 22, 2019
Highlights from the April 22, 2019 Board of Education meeting include:
Meadow Glens led the Board of Education in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Superintendent Dan Bridges recognized Mission Makers Naperville North High School students, Jack and Nick Boettcher for being community contributors. As part of a Kennedy Jr. High School class project a year ago, Nick Boettcher decided to use his talents to make an impact on "the world" around him. Enlisting the help of his brother, Jack, the boys decided to use their passion in music as a resource and set out to develop a music mentor program at the Warrenville Youth Center - part of the Illinois Youth Detention Center - called the No Repeats Project.
Congratulations to the NCHS - 2019 IHSA Varsity State Championship Team in Congressional Debate including: Anusha Kumar, Hannah Fewkes, William Tong, Joseph Rubas, William Ma, Sophia Hussain, Rishabh Jain, Prateek Dullur, Vivian Zhao, and James Royal. The team is coached by Robert Lugiai and Randy Smith. James Royal was named the 2019 IHSA State Congressional Debate Individual Champion.
Congratulations to Madison Junior High School’s Omkar Gadewar won first place (State Champion) at the National Geographic Geography Bee for Illinois. Next month he will go to DC and represent Illinois in the National Geo Bee.

- Policy Review: 6.60, Curriculum Content
- Policy Review: 7.140, Search and Seizure
- Policy Review: 7.190, Student Discipline
- Policy Review: 7.240, Co-Curricular Code of Participation
- Board Education expenses
- Naperville Unit Education Association (NUEA) teacher contract for one year.
