Starting a business is difficult, but when you are a high school entrepreneur, you face unique challenges. Acceleratoredu teams, including Ground Coffee, No Trip Clipz, and 5 to 9, recently presented updates on their businesses validation process, including successes and challenges, to a group of current INCubator students, the INCubator Advisory Council, the Naperville Education Foundation and potential investors. They regaled the audience with connections made, business websites built, social media outreach, and even the challenges of opening a business bank account as a seventeen years old!
All three students companies received funding last year, either through an NEF grant or private funding. In the audience to hear the presentations were current INCubator students that are in the process of developing their own business plans and pitches for funding. After presenting their progress to the students and audience, the companies received feedback and advice on their progress from the INCubator Advisory Council.
