Digital Learning Initiative Expands to Elementary School

The three-year Digital Learning Initiative (DLI) roll out is coming to an end as students in grades K-5 receive their devices.

Over the past two years, every student in high school and junior high was issued a Chromebook with access to Google Apps for Education (G-Suite) to use at school and to be brought home. This year the DLI expanded to the elementary schools. More than 4,600 students in grades 2-5 received their own Chromebook, and in grades K-1 about 1,050 iPads were distributed to 2,100 students.

In total, Naperville 203 has handed out 16,000 Chromebooks and 1,300 iPads, which when placed side by side would stretch more than three miles long!
