Matt Langes Named Director of Innovation & Learning in Naperville 203
Naperville Community Unit School District 203 is pleased to announce Matt Langes as the district’s new Director of Innovation & Learning. Mr. Langes most recently served as Principal of Elmwood Elementary School, where he led with distinction and helped foster a culture rooted in academic excellence, equity, and inclusion.
In his new role, Mr. Langes oversees districtwide efforts to advance instructional innovation, align curriculum and assessment practices, and guide the integration of technology to support student learning. His leadership is instrumental in ensuring that all students across Naperville 203 have access to high-quality, engaging, and future-ready educational experiences.
Mr. Langes brings more than two decades of experience in Naperville 203, having served as a 7th grade teacher, athletic coach, assistant principal, and building principal. Throughout his career, he has been known for his collaborative approach, dedication to equity, and commitment to continuous improvement. He has played a key role in initiatives such as restorative practices, instructional alignment in literacy and mathematics, and the strategic use of technology in the classroom.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve in this new capacity and to continue supporting educators and students across the district,” said Langes. “Together, we can build dynamic, innovative learning environments that prepare every student for success.”
Mr. Langes holds a Bachelor’s degree from North Central College and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he enjoys running, cooking, audiobooks, and spending time with his wife and two children.
