Naperville 203 Welcomes Continued Leadership from Dr. Nowicki at Highlands Elementary
Naperville 203 is pleased to share that Dr. Nowicki will continue serving as Principal of Highlands Elementary School for the 2025–2026 school year.
In October 2024, Dr. Nowicki stepped in as Acting Principal of Highlands, fulfilling the responsibilities of both Principal and Assistant Principal until an Interim Assistant Principal was hired. Her extensive knowledge of Naperville 203 and strong leadership experience have been instrumental in supporting students, staff, and families throughout the year.
Dr. Nowicki’s ongoing leadership will provide valuable continuity, stability, and care for the Highlands community. She remains committed to fostering a strong and supportive school environment, working collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure Highlands continues to grow and uphold its tradition of excellence.
Dr. Nowicki holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University, a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from North Central College, and a second master’s degree in Administration from North Central. She also earned her doctorate in Leadership and Administration from Aurora University.
Since beginning her career with Naperville 203 in 1998, Dr. Nowicki has served in a variety of roles including classroom teacher at Steeple Run Elementary, instructional coordinator, and assistant principal at several elementary schools. She has spent the past seven years as the Assistant Principal at Highlands.
To ensure the Highlands administrative team is fully supported for the upcoming school year, Naperville 203 will work closely with Dr. Nowicki to select an Interim Assistant Principal who will serve throughout the 2025–2026 school year.
